How We Work

We believe great software comes from great partnerships. Here is exactly how we work with clients — from first conversation to long-term support — so you know what to expect before we start.

Our Process

1. Discovery Call (Free)

A 30-minute conversation to understand what you're trying to achieve. No pitch deck — we ask questions, listen, and give you an honest read on feasibility, timeline, and whether we're the right fit.

2. Proposal and Scope

Within 48 hours, you receive a written proposal with:

3. Kickoff and Architecture

Before writing application code, we document the architecture: data models, API contracts, infrastructure decisions, and deployment strategy. You review and approve this before development begins.

4. Development Sprints

Two-week cycles with a working demo at the end of each. You see real progress every 14 days — not a big reveal after months of silence. Priorities can shift between sprints based on what you learn.

5. Launch

Rigorous QA, performance testing, security review, and zero-downtime deployment. We handle the operational details so launch day is boring (the good kind).

6. Post-Launch Support

Every project includes 30 days of post-launch bug fixes at no extra charge. After that, we offer ongoing maintenance retainers to keep your application healthy and growing.

Engagement Models

Fixed-Price Projects

Best for well-defined scope with clear deliverables.

You get a detailed statement of work with a fixed price, timeline, and milestone schedule. We scope thoroughly upfront so there are no surprises. Payment is tied to deliverable milestones, not hours burned.

**Good for:** MVPs, redesigns, specific feature builds, and migrations with clear requirements.

Monthly Retainer

Best for ongoing work, continuous improvement, or teams that need flexible capacity.

A set number of hours per month dedicated to your project. We prioritise work together in a shared backlog. Unused hours don't roll over — this keeps both sides honest about scope.

**Good for:** Ongoing maintenance, iterative feature development, website improvement sprints, and teams that need overflow engineering capacity.

Time and Materials

Best for exploratory or evolving projects where scope shifts as you learn.

We work in two-week sprints with weekly time reports. You approve scope at the start of each sprint and can adjust priorities as you go. No waste — you pay for work delivered, not estimates.

**Good for:** R&D projects, complex integrations, projects where requirements emerge through discovery.

Pricing Ranges

Every project is different, but these ranges give you a starting point:
